CELTIC TAKE ON CORK CITY FC AT SUPERVALU PÁIRC UÍ CHAOIMH THIS EVENING

The first ever Cork Super Cup kicks off at 6pm and walk-ups are accepted

Eager soccer fans can still get their hands on tickets for the Cork Super Cup, which kicks off at 6pm this evening. Celtic FC and Cork City FC will face each other in the pre-season friendly, which is the first ever competitive men’s soccer match to be staged at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

Both teams attended a Mayoral Reception at Cork City Hall yesterday evening and players will train in Cork today ahead of the clash.

Speaking in City Hall, Celtic Manager Brendan Rodgers said they were all really looking forward to playing at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

Cork GAA has issued some information for supporters heading to SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh:

  • There are still some terrace tickets available to purchase via corksupercup.com/tickets and Ticketmaster.ie. Walk-ups are also being accepted up until kick off.
  • Stadium gates open at 4.30pm with kick-off at 6pm.
  • Dress for the weather - this evening is forecast to be warm and sunny.
  • Traffic is expected to be heavy in the area before and after the game so plan your journey accordingly and respect the local community by parking legally.
  • There will be parking available in the Sutton’s Oil car park and City Centre car parks will be open.
  • The Bus Eireann 202 and 212 routes serve the stadium.
  • Kent Station is a 30-minute walk from the venue.
  • A cordon will be in place on roads around the stadium by An Garda Síochána for the safety of all attendees.
