Arrival and Morning Activities

Arrive early into Cork to make the most of your matchday experience. Start the morning with a coffee and sweet treat in the city centre, then hop on the Cork Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour. Departing from Grand Parade (outside the Cork City Library), the tour brings you to some of Cork’s best-loved attractions.

Make your way to Shandon Bells and St. Anne’s Church, where kids and adults alike can enjoy panoramic views from the tower — and even ring the famous bells. Just around the corner, stop by Shandon Sweets, Cork’s oldest sweet shop, for a colourful treat.

Next, explore Cork City Gaol, a historic site with fascinating exhibits and engaging displays that offer a glimpse into Cork’s past. It's an immersive experience that’s great for curious minds of all ages.

If you hop off at University College Cork (UCC), take time to walk the scenic campus or enjoy a bite at Lea’s Café at The Glucksman. Across the road, Fitzgerald’s Park is ideal for children to stretch their legs. There’s a playground, a café, and the Cork Public Museum all nestled in a spacious, leafy park perfect for a family wander.

Early Afternoon

Spend your early afternoon soaking in the local atmosphere. A visit to the English Market is a must, this historic indoor food market offers everything from handmade chocolates to fresh baked goods and artisan cheeses. Whether you’re looking for a quick snack or treats to bring to the game, there’s something for everyone.

Late Lunchtime and Pre-Match Build-Up

By 3:30 PM, begin making your way toward Páirc Uí Chaoimh. A perfect stop en route is the Marina Market, a family-friendly venue with food stalls, outdoor seating, and lots of choice. It’s a great place to enjoy an early dinner before the match.

From the market, take the Marina Walkway, a scenic, pedestrian-friendly route along the river that connects directly to Páirc Uí Chaoimh. It's flat, accessible, and ideal for families with young children. Allow at least 20 minutes to walk from the market to the stadium, and aim to arrive early to avoid queues at the turnstiles.

Match Time

Leave the Marina Market by 5:00 PM at the latest to be comfortably inside Páirc Uí Chaoimh before kick-off. The crowd is expected to build quickly, so early arrival helps you settle in stress-free.
